Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Reina Yuan Perez graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1993 and then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1998. She has worked in different modes of practice from private ophthalmology practices to a multi-location LASIK/refractive surgery center. She spent over 13 years as an optometrist in the Eye Department of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, working alongside numerous O.D.’s and M.D.’s.

From her vast experience, she is comfortable examining patients young and old. She has taken her experiences from private practice, LASIK centers, and large hospital setting and in 2014 decided to purchase her own private practice in her hometown, Foster City, CA. Foster City Eye Care was established in 1978 by Dr. Purewal, and Dr. Perez is proud to continue its legacy.

Dr. Perez has had extensive experience in not only providing primary eye exams and contact lens exams, but is proficient in treating red eye emergencies, dry eye disease, and glaucoma. She is also passionate about myopia management. Dr. Perez is a certified to treat glaucoma in the State of California. She is also an active member of the California Optometry Association and Vision Source.

Dr. Perez and her husband have raised their two children in the Foster City community. Fun fact, she is a second degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. She enjoys keeping fit, baking and is a diehard Niner fan.

Dr. Manisha Suresh Chand is an optometrist providing comprehensive eye care, including routine eye exams, contact lens fittings, dry eye management, and medical eye evaluations.

She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Western University of Health Sciences and is dedicated to providing personalized care for her patients.

Outside of the office, she enjoys exploring the city with her husband and discovering new restaurants. She is happy to be back and practicing in her hometown.
